Public Information Office, Community Outreach and Education

The goal of DBH’s Public Information Office (PIO) is to communicate the mission of DBH and to promote wellness, recovery and resilience in San Bernardino County.

PIO accomplishes this through our press releases, informative emails via DBH E-News, website, marketing publications, informative brochures and our engaging social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube.

PIO is also pleased to facilitate media inquiries, including phone and in-person interviews, and filming requests of our facilities and valued employees, which include subject matter expert therapists, administrators, educators and physicians in the field of behavioral health and substance use disorders.

Community presentations and trainings are provided at various locations such as schools, service groups and senior centers through DBH’s Community Outreach and Education program (CORE). Presentations and trainings include youth and adult Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and more. DBH staff is also pleased to participate in community events as a resource vendor.
