Seeking Safety Training

Intended Audience: DBH and contract agency staff
Seeking Safety is an evidence-based model for trauma and substance abuse, and this training is intended to equip participants with the skills to implement Seeking Safety with their clients. Seeking Safety teaches present-focused coping skills to help clients attain safety in their lives. It is highly flexible and can be conducted in any setting by a wide range of clinicians and also peers. This training will cover the 25 treatment topics of Seeking Safety, each of which represents a safe coping skill relevant to both trauma and/or substance abuse. The training will be offered virtually via Zoom. Continuing Education credits will be available through the vendor, Treatment Innovations
Note: All participants attending this training must be in accordance with DBH Dress Code Policy. Participants must also attend the entire class session, sign in and sign out on the attendance sheet to receive course credit, including continuing education (CE) credit. No partial credit will be awarded. Certificates will be available via Relias within 10 business days. Breaks and lunches are not eligible for CE credit. There is no charge for CEs.
