0-5 Comprehensive Treatment Services

0-5 Comprehensive Treatment Services is a Prevention and Early Intervention Program implemented through the joint effort of First 5 of San Bernardino County and County of San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). The intention is to provide comprehensive services for young children aged 0 to 5 throughout the County through close collaboration with multiple community-based organizations. The success of this program is due to, in large part, the close collaborative efforts by multiple County agencies (e.g., DBH, CFS, DPH, First 5, Preschool Services, and Children’s Network) and community-based organizations.

The program is divided into two programs: Screening, Assessment, Referral and Treatment (SART) and Early Identification and Intervention Services (EIIS). The intention is to provide high quality intensive services through SART, while EIIS provides less intensive services. Four (4) agencies implement SART in six (6) locations and provide EIIS services in the same clinics. There are two (2) additional EIIS agencies serving the rural communities of Crestline and Barstow.
