Outreach for Increasing Recognition of Early Signs of Mental Illness Programs
These programs are designed to engage, educate, and train individuals about ways to recognize and respond effectively to the early signs of severe and disabling mental illness.
These programs provide education and training to potential responders including families, employers, health care providers, educators, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel, and other members of the community on how to identify, understand, and respond to the signs of mental illnesses. The intent is to provide individuals the skills needed to reach out and provide help and support to those who may be experiencing the early signs of a mental illness.
