Payment Options

Electronic payments can be made online using your Visa card, MasterCard, checking account or savings account at Make a Payment

Electronic payments can be made using your Visa card, MasterCard, checking account, or savings account by calling (866) 901-3212 and selecting option 1.

If your case is managed by a Local Child Support Agency, you can mail a check to: CA SDU, PO BOX 989067, West Sacramento, CA 95798-9067.
If your case is a private case that is not managed by a Local Child Support Agency, call (866) 901-3212 for assistance with making payments by mail.

  • Use MoneyGram at retail stores. Find a location or call (800) 926-9400. To make a payment, you will need your California child support Participant ID number and Receive Code 14630. MoneyGram charges a $1.99 fee.
  • Use PayNearMe at 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, and ACE Cash Express stores. Get a personal PayNearMe barcode on PayNearMe’s California child support page or by contacting us. Present the barcode – either on a smartphone or on paper – to a cashier to be scanned at the counter. Reuse the barcode for future payments or get a new one, as needed. Find a PayNearMe location near you. PayNearMe charges a $1.99 convenience fee and guarantees payments.
  • PayPal - Use PayPal to make a payment; you will need your California Child Support Participant ID number and a PayPal account. Methods of payment accepted by PayPal are; PayPal balance, PayPal branded debit and credit cards, bank account debit card, and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover). There is a 2.49% ($3.95 minimum) service fee on every transaction.

Payments can be made at your Local Child Support Office through a payment kiosk.  Find your Local Child Support Office.

Parent Receiving Child Support

Receiving Payments

  • The State Disbursement Unit (SDU) provides the following options for receiving support payments:
    • Direct Deposit – Direct Deposit will allow you to receive your payments directly into a checking or savings account.
    • Electronic Pay Card (EPC) – You can receive support payments easier, faster and have access to the funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The card can be used everywhere Mastercard is accepted.

  • Receive payments electronically
  • Call – State Disbursement Unit at (866) 901-3212, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Mail - Complete Direct Deposit Authorization form and mail to the California Department of Child Support Services, P.O. Box 989064, West Sacramento, CA 95798-9064.
