INCIDENT: Commercial Burglary & Forgery
LOCATION: 73000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT: Destiney Nichole Allen, 24 years old, resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY:
On Monday, August 20th at approximately 3:00 p.m., Deputy Ryan Arthurton responded to the 7-11 store in the 74000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway reference a report of a customer passing a counterfeit $100-dollar bill.
On August 20th, 2018 at approximately 7:10 a.m. a white female adult, later positively identified as Destiney Allen, entered the 7-11 store and furnished a counterfeit $100-dollar bill to purchase merchandise from the clerk. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction.
The investigation identified Destiney Allen as a potential suspect and a possible home address. Deputy Arthurton contacted Allen at a house on the 6400 block of Cholla Avenue in the City of Twentynine Palms. During the investigation, deputies learned Allen entered the 7-11 store with the intent to pass a counterfeit $100-dollar bill as real US currency.
Destiney Nichole Allen was arrested and booked at Morongo Jail for violation of California Penal Code 459C, Commercial Burglary & California Penal Code 470(D) Forgery. Bail was set at $25,000.
