INCIDENT: Burglary

LOCATION: 1300 block of Lillyhill Drive, Needles

SUSPECT: William Thompson, 28 year old male, resident of Needles

On Wednesday, July 13, 2018, at about 10:43 a.m., Deputy Deruiter responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Lilly Hill Drive in Needles for a burglary report. The suspect stole a bicycle from the victim’s garage and Deputy Deruiter was able to identify the suspect as William Thompson. A search was conducted but Thompson was not found.

On Thursday, July 14, 2018, at about 9:48 a.m., Deputy Deruiter located and arrested William Thompson in the 1900 block of Peru Street in Needles. Deputy Deruiter’s continued investigation showed Thompson burglarized the same location in the early morning hours of July 14, 2018. The stolen bicycle was located and returned to the owner.

Thompson was booked into the Needles Jail on two counts of burglary and is being held on $50,000 bail.
