INCIDENT: Possession of Methamphetamine, HS11377(a), Possession of an Illegal Weapon PC21310
LOCATION: Needles Skate Park, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Kasey Lively, 28 years old, resident of Mohave Valley
Abel Rodriguez, 29 years old, resident of Needles
On Thursday, March 7, 2019, deputies responded to the Needles City Skate Park in response to a report of a male and female subject seen smoking illegal substances in the restroom area. Deputies arrived and contacted Kasey Lively and Abel Rodriguez at the park next to the restrooms.
During the contact, Lively displayed symptoms consistent with the use of a controlled substance and was detained. She was searched and found in possession of suspected methamphetamine then booked into the Colorado River Station jail for HS11377(a), a misdemeanor, and later cite-released.
When deputies spoke to Rodriguez, a search of his person was conducted, and he was found in possession of an illegal weapon (fixed blade double-edged knife). He was arrested for PC21310, a felony, and booked into the Colorado River Jail with bail set at $20,000.00.
