DATE/TIME OF RELEASE: Monday, March 21, 2016, at 5:00pm INCIDENT: GRAND THEFT AUTO LOCATION: 11300 block of High Ridge Street in Adelanto



On Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 11:20pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station received a report of a Grand Theft Auto in progress in the 11300 block of High Ridge Street in Adelanto. According to the victim, he heard something outside his residence so he retrieved his pistol and went outside. When he went outside he saw his vehicle being driven away. The victim chased them on foot and fired three rounds at the vehicle, it is unknown if the vehicle was struck. The victim was able to see two males in the vehicle but was unable to get a description of them. A red compact vehicle was seen following the victim’s vehicle and may be related. The vehicle is still outstanding and is described as a 2012 Silver Kia Forte, California License Plate #6UYX485. A criminal report was completed for negligent discharge of a firearm by the victim and will be submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
