DATE/TIME: January 27, 2016 I 0900 AM INCIDENT: Barricaded Suspect/Criminal Threats LOCATION: 149000 Block of Mohawk Trail, Big River SUSPECT(S): Philip Stephen Holsborg, age 45 year, a resident of Big River


On Monday January 25, 2016, Philip Holsborg was involved in an argument with his wife which became physical. When she attempted to call 911, Holsborg ripped the phone cord out of the wall. He made criminal threats towards her and any law enforcement deputies that arrived. Deputies responded to the resident and took a report however, Holsborg had left the residence prior to their arrival.
Deputies obtained a felony arrest warrant for Holsborg the next day. On January 27, 2016, deputies responded to the residence to arrest Holsborg but, before they arrived, he barricaded himself inside and refused orders to come out. The San Bernardino County Sheriffs Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) was brought in to assist in his apprehension. After several hours, Holsborg surrendered without incident to Sheriffs personnel. Holsborg was later booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Criminal Threats. San Bernardino County Sheriffs personnel received assistance from La Paz County Sheriffs, the Parker Police Department and the Kingman Police Department.
