LOCATION: Del Rosa Avenue and Lynwood Drive, San Bernardino
SUSPECT(S): Steve Quiroz, age 55 a transient of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
Summary
On Friday, March 18th at approximately 9:50 p.m., Deputy Sanchez from the Sheriff’s Central Station conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Pick-up truck for Vehicle Code violations. The vehicle did not yield and fled at a high rate of speed. Deputy Sanchez activated his emergency lights and siren, but the vehicle continued to evade at a high rate of speed. The truck turned west onto 39th Street and crashed into a dirt mound. The suspect, identified as Steve Quiroz, fled on foot and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. Quiroz had an active PRCS no bail warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center.
