INCIDENT: Felon Resisting Arrest/Assault on a Peace Officer

LOCATION: 4000 block of Mountain Avenue, San Bernardino

SUSPECT: Markeith Terrell, 29, San Bernardino Resident


On Thursday, June 16, 2016, at approximately 8:12 a.m. deputies responded to a call in reference to a subject who displayed a large gun in the parking lot of the mobile home park. The reporting party stated the subject put the large gun in the trunk and was wiping down his car. Deputy Ash arrived on scene and attempted to contact the subject. Ash explained to the subject why he was there and asked for his cooperation. The subject, later identified as Markeith Terrell, refused all of Ash’s commands and began fighting with him. Deputies Tabor and Gonzalez arrived on scene and the subject fought with all three of the deputies. During the altercation, Terrell pushed Deputy Gonzalez to the ground. Terrell was ultimately taken into custody and arrested for felony resisting arrest and assault on a peace officer. An AR-15 airsoft gun was located in the trunk of the vehicle and drug paraphernalia located throughout Terrell’s vehicle. Terrell was booked into West Valley Detention Center.
