INCIDENT: Possession of Drugs and a Loaded Firearm/ Resisting a Peace Officer
LOCATION: 4th Street & Waterman Avenue, San Bernardino
SUSPECT: Vallon Wallace, 30 years old
Summary
On March 29, 2016, Deputy Sullivant conducted a pedestrian check near the intersection of 4th Street and Waterman Avenue in the City of San Bernardino. Wallace was observed in an argument with two females while standing in the middle of 4th Street, blocking traffic. Wallace refused to identify himself and began putting his hand inside his pants pocket. When deputies attempted to detain Wallace, he resisted by physically fighting with deputies in the roadway. During the fight, Wallace attempted to reach in his pockets several times. Wallace was finally taken into custody by deputies. When Wallace was searched, he was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun which had been concealed in his pants pocket. Wallace also possessed approximately 20 grams of Methamphetamine, and other drug paraphernalia related to the sales of narcotics. A records check on Wallace identified him as being on State Parole. He also had active warrants for his arrest.
Wallace was booked into Central Detention Center and is being held without bail.
