INCIDENT: Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Probation Violation
LOCATION: Hidalgo Dr. and Marshall Blvd.
SUSPECT(S): Miguel Villanueva, 30 year old resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
Summary
Deputy Kostiuk and Sergeant Hilfer conducted a pedestrian check on Miguel Villanueva near Hidalgo Dr. and Marshall Blvd. Villanueva was in possession of burglary tools and methamphetamine, and was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) felony probation. Villanueva was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center.
As a reminder, Suspect Villanueva was on felony PRCS probation. Felony PRCS probation was created as a result of California Assembly Bill 109 (AB109).
As part of Governor Jerry Brown’s Realignment Plan, or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court Decision requiring the state to lower its prison population; offenders with non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through county probation.
