INCIDENT: Possession of a Stolen Vehicle/Probation Violation

LOCATION: 40th Street and Leroy Street, San Bernardino

SUSPECT: Tessa Pary,19, Calimesa resident

Summary

On Saturday, July 30, 2016, at approximately 10:02 a.m., Deputy L. Sandoval, from the Sheriff’s Central Station, observed a vehicle driving recklessly and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot, the female driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. During an area check, the female was located and found to have $1,000,000.00 worth of warrants for PC 459 Burglary and VC 10851 Vehicle Theft. The female was identified as Tessa Pary, a Calimesa resident, who is currently on felony probation for PC 459 Burglary. The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of the city of San Bernardino. Pary was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center for PC 496D(A) Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, warrants and probation violation

As part of Governor Jerry Brown’s Realignment Plan, or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court Decision requiring the state to lower its prison population; offenders with non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through county Probation.
