Summary

On May 19, 2016, at approximately 9:22 P.M., deputies from the Chino Hills Sheriff’s Station responded to a disturbance call in the 11200 block of Wesley Avenue in Pomona. As deputies arrived, they spoke to Fernando Duran, who had multiple lacerations to the back of his head and lower back. Duran was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he was found to have three, two inch puncture wounds on his lower back, and a collapsed right lung.

Through investigation it was determined that Andrew Banda and Duran got into a physical altercation over borrowing a bicycle that belonged to Banda’s friend. During the altercation, it is believed Banda stabbed Duran three times with a knife. Banda’s girlfriend, Priscilla Sanchez, came out of the house, grabbed a glass bottle, and hit the subject on the back of his head.
