Summary

Deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff’s Station assigned to the West End responded to a call in the 12000 block of Pipeline Avenue in Chino reference an argument between a male and female in a vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle in an apartment complex and observed the male and female arguing with two juveniles in the back seat. As deputies attempted contact, the male subject, later identified as 25-year-old Anthony Trejo of Pomona, drove away from the scene. Trejo lead deputies on a 4.7-mile pursuit through San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties while holding the female and juveniles against their will. At the intersection of Mission Boulevard and State Highway 71 in Pomona, Trejo collided into the center median and fled on foot. With the assistance from Pomona Police officers, deputies located Trejo hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence and placed him under arrest for kidnapping, child endangerment, and felony evading. Trejo was found to be on Parole and had an active warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking.
