INCIDENT: PC 29800(a) Felon in Possession of a Firearm and PC 422 Threats
LOCATION: 9500 block of Beech Ave., unincorporated area of Fontana
SUSPECT(S): Darryl Solet, 41 years of age, resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Confidential
Summary
On July 3, 2016, at 4:13 p.m., deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 9500 block of Beech Avenue following the report of a man with a gun.Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim.The victim indicated that the suspect, Darryl Solet, had been drinking and they were involved in a verbal altercation. The victim indicated that he had been threatening her for several days.The victim further stated that earlier in the day, she went outside to hang the laundry and Solet followed her outside.She said he was holding a short barreled shotgun and told her, “I’m going shoot you in the head”. The victim feared for her life and believed Solet was going to kill her. The victim went into the residence and shut all the doors.
Deputies made contact with Solet and placed him under arrest for PC 422 Threats.Deputies located a short barreled shotgun in a shed with Solet’s other belongings, as well as shotgun ammunition. Solet was also found to be a felon in possession of a firearm.He was transported and booked into WVDC for threats and felon in possession of a firearm.
