DATE/TIME: July 14, 2016 9:11 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 496D(a), Possession of Stolen Vehicle

LOCATION: Newport Ave and Canal St., City of Grand Terrace

SUSPECT: Gerard Moreno, 35-years-old, resident of Fresno, CA


On July 14, 2016 at 9:11 p.m. deputies assigned to the contract city of Grand Terrace found an unoccupied a white 1996 Honda Civic, found to be stolen out of Fresno, parked outside of the mobile home park on Newport Ave. Deputies contacted nearby mobile homes and discovered Moreno had driven the vehicle to Grand Terrace from Ventura County to visit a friend. Moreno was contacted and taken into custody without incident. The victim in Fresno was contacted via telephone and advised deputies he does not know Moreno and did not give him permission to have his vehicle. Moreno was booked into the Central Detention Center without incident.
