INCIDENT: Robbery and Carjacking LOCATION: Barton Road / Glendora Drive, Grand Terrace SUSPECT: Rosemary Barrasa, 37 year old female, resident of Rialto
Summary
On Sunday, December 20, 2015, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the victim was driving his vehicle in Rialto when he saw Rosemary Barrasa walking and offered her a ride home. Barrasa accepted the ride and they both went to Barrasa’s apartment in Rialto.
Barrasa asked the victim if he could give her a ride to a friend’s apartment at an unknown location in Rialto. When they arrived at the apartment complex, Barrasa’s friend and two unknown Hispanic males got into the victim’s vehicle. They drove to an intersection in Grand Terrace where one of the males pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his wallet and cell phone and then ordered the victim out of the vehicle. Later the same morning, the victim’s vehicle was recovered in the apartment complex where Barrasa lives. Through investigation, Barrasa was identified as the suspect who the victim offered the ride to in Rialto. Barrasa was contacted at her apartment and taken into custody on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Barrasa was transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 211-Robbery and PC215-Carjacking. Bail is set at $250,000.
