INCIDENT: SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON LOCATION: HESPERIA STATION SUSPECT: FRANCISCO URBINA, AGE 29, OF HESPERIA 

Summary

On Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at approximately 9:09 p.m., Deputies of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a traffic collision. The vehicles were now pulled off the road into the VFW parking lot. Before deputies arrived, the suspect vehicle fled the area, collided with another vehicle and fled on foot from the scene.

  

Through investigation it was learned that the suspect and victim were in a verbal dispute at the suspect’s residence on Donert St., in the City of Hesperia. The victim was picked up by a friend and drove away down Hesperia Rd. A short way down the road, the victim and her friend were stopped in the center meridian when the suspect reportedly drove directly into their vehicle. Both drivers drove into the parking lot at the VFW, but the suspect then fled the scene and appeared to be headed home, when he struck another vehicle and then fled the scene on foot. Occupants involved in both collisions were cleared at the scene without requiring medical aid.    On Wednesday, January20, 2016, suspect Urbina turned himself into the Victorville Station, where he was later released to Hesperia Deputies for questioning. Suspect Francisco Urbina was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center on charges of PC245(a)(1)-Assault with a deadly weapon.    Suspects, where their residence is involved in the crime, will be subject to eviction based on the new Crime Free Rental Program Ordinance in Hesperia.    Refer: Karen Hunt, Media Relations Station: Hesperia Phone No. 760-947-1549 Case No.191600448
