INCIDENT: SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH BURGLARY OF CHARITY BUSINESS LOCATION: 14000 BLOCK OF ESTATE WAY, VICTORVILLE SUSPECT(S): VINCENT ROBINSON, AGE 30 OF VICTORVILLE

Summary

SUMMARY: On Sunday, December 13, 2015, deputies of the Hesperia Police Department responded to a report of a commercial burglary of the Don Ferrarese Charities location. Items belonging to the business as well as toys and money that were to go to needy families for Christmas were stolen. On Monday, January 4, 2016, at approximately 3:05 p.m., deputies of the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a person attempting to cash a check reported stolen by Director Tate of the Ferrarese Charities. Through further investigation and with information obtained by Apple Valley Deputies, Hesperia Detectives obtained and served a search warrant at Vincent Robinson’s residence in the City of Victorville. The search warrant was served on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at approximately 10:42 a.m., detectives located toys, checks, a briefcase and credit cards reported stolen by Tate. Also, located were I.D.’s, credit cards and mail from other victims. According to Tate, when news of the burglary came out to the public, Ferrarese Charities received many generous donations of toys and money from the public so that the intended recipients would still have a Merry Christmas. Suspect Vincent Robinson was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of PC 496-Possession of stolen property, PC475- Forgery/Counterfeiting and PC664/487- Attempted Grand Theft.
