INCIDENT: DEPUTIES RECOVER PROPERTY STOLEN FROM STORAGE UNIT

LOCATION:16000 BLOCK OF WALNUT ST, HESPERIA

SUSPECT(S): GREG WINN, AGE 37 OF HESPERIA

Summary

On Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at approximately 1:15 p.m., Deputy Womelsdorf of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station was dispatched to a report of commercial burglary at a storage unit.

 

Through investigation it was learned the victim opened their storage unit to find their property missing.However, some of the property was visible from the next unit over. A search warrant was issued for two storage units rented by the suspect and the suspect’s residence in the 7000 block of Corona Ave. in the City of Hesperia.The victim’s stolen property was valued at approximately $3,000 and some items that held mostly sentimental value.Almost all stolen items were recovered and have been returned to the victim.

 

Suspect Greg Winn, who is on probation for H&S11370.1(a)- Possession of methamphetamine while armed, was arrested without incident and booked at HDDC on charges of PC459-Commercial burglary.
