Incident: fatal vehicle vs pedestrian collision

Location: Sequoia St/ First Ave, Hesperia

Victim(s): male adult (name withheld pending family notification)


On Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at approximately 5:21 p.m., Deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.


The adult male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.


Deputies found through their investigation the pedestrian was crossing south on Sequoia St. when he was struck by a Ford F150 traveling eastbound on Sequoia St., just east of First Ave. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and was not in a crosswalk when he attempted to cross the street.
