INCIDENT: FAILURE TO YIELD
LOCATION: HESPERIA RD/EUCALYPTUS ST, HESPERIA
SUSPECT: 34 YEAR-OLD, ANGEL VILLANUEVA OF SAN JACINTO
Summary
On Wednesday, July 13, 20016 at approximately 11:01 a.m., Deputy LaFond of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station attempted a traffic stop of a Hyundai in the area of Hesperia Rd. and Eucalyptus St., in the City of Hesperia.
The driver of the vehicle failed to yield and fled southbound Hesperia Road at unsafe speeds and passing other vehicles in the center divider. The driver finally stopped near the intersection of Lime St. and Hesperia Rd.
Deputies recovered a baggie that was thrown from the suspect vehicle during the pursuit. The baggie contained a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Inside the vehicle, mason jars containing suspected marijuana along with other drug paraphernalia were recovered.
Angel Villanueva was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of VC2800.2 – felony evading and H&S11379 – sale or transportation of a controlled substance.
