INCIDENT: PC 273.5 – Domestic Battery

LOCATION: Baseline Street / Victoria Avenue, Highland

SUSPECT:Ameded Viola, age 39, a resident of Oak Hills

VICTIM(S): Confidential


On Sunday, February 21, 2016, at approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to the report of an assault near the intersection of Baseline Street and Victoria Avenue in the City of Highland.


Through investigation, it was determined the assault was a domestic battery. During an argument between the suspect, Ameded Viola, and the victim, Viola reportedly struck the victim several times in her head and face. After the victim fell to the ground, Viola continued to punch the victim and slammed her head against the sidewalk several times. Ameded Viola left the location prior to deputies’ arrival.


Deputies from the Highland Police Departmentworked collaboratively with deputies from the Hesperia Police Department and were able to take Viola into custody. Viola was booked at West Valley Detention Center.
