INCIDENT: Strong Arm Robbery

Summary
On Sunday, January 31, 2015, at approximately 1:32 a.m., deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to the report of a strong arm robbery that had occurred at the Shell Gas Station on Barton Road in Grand Terrace. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that the victim stopped at the location to purchase some items. When she finished, she placed the items in the back of her vehicle. Meanwhile, the suspects were parked near the victim inside a black Chrysler 200. One of the female suspects exited the Chrysler and took the items from the victim’s vehicle. The victim saw what was happening and confronted the first suspect. As she did, the suspect began to physically assault the victim. During the attack, a second female suspect exited the Chrysler and began assaulting the victim. During the altercation, one of the suspects stole the victim’s wallet, containing credit cards and other personal information. The two suspects returned to their vehicle where a third suspect drove them away from the location. The victim’s credit cards were used a short time later at some nearby businesses.
The criminal investigation into this incident is continuing. Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving this crime.
