INCIDENT: Identity Theft / Theft by Credit Card

LOCATION: 11600 Caldy Avenue Loma Linda

VICTIM: Female resident of Loma Linda

SUSPECT: Vivian Stakenburg, 53 years of age, resident of San Bernardino


On Thursday, March 31, 2016, the victim contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to report that her Citibank Master Card had been used by someone without her permission.Deputy Leon and Detective Phillips conducted a thorough investigation which led them to suspect, Vivian Stakenburg.


On Wednesday, March 13, 2016, investigators served a search warrant at a motel room located on the 1600 block of Mt. Vernon in the City of San Bernardino. Stakenburg was located and arrested for Identity Theft and Theft by Credit Card. She was booked at the Central Detention Center without incident. Stakenburg is on active parole from the State of Colorado for Narcotic Violations who now resides in the City of San Bernardino.


The public is encouraged to monitor their credit and bank account for suspicious activity. Unfortunately Identity Theft is appearing to be a common type of criminal activity. The public should contact their bank or law enforcement for assistance.
