INCIDENT: PC 148 Resisting an Officer/PC 496 Possession of Stolen Property

LOCATION: Richardson Street and I-10 Freeway, Loma Linda

SUSPECT(S): Joseph Hendrickson, age 23, a resident of San Bernardino

VICTIM(S): State of California 


On March 5, 2016, Deputy B. Ortiz from the Sheriff’s Central Station (Loma Linda) conducted a pedestrian check at Richardson Street and I-10 Freeway in Loma Linda. The subject, later identified as, Joseph Hendrickson, walked up to the deputy in a threatening manner placing his hands in his waistband as if he were reaching for a weapon. Deputy Ortiz attempted to detain Hendrickson but he fled on foot through nearby businesses and across the I-10 Freeway. Deputies set up a perimeter and with the assistance of 40K air unit, Hendrickson was located hiding under a dumpster. He was found in possession of stolen property and burglary tools.
