INCIDENT: Vehicle Burglary, Identity Theft and Possession of Stolen Property

LOCATION: 25500 Block of Redlands Blvd, Loma Linda

SUSPECT(S): Richard Stakenburg, 35-year-old resident of San Bernardino
Robbie Gurule, 26-year-old resident of San Bernardino

Summary

Deputies assigned to the contract city of Loma Linda responded to a suspicious circumstances call at the mobile home park at the location. When Deputy Carrico arrived, he observed two subjects duck down in a gray vehicle in an attempt to avoid detection. The two subjects, later identified as Richard Stakenburg and Robbie Gurule, were detained. Stakenburg had a BB gun that resembled a real gun concealed in his waistband. Stakenburg (when his identity was confirmed) was on parole for a weapons violation. A search of the vehicle resulted in locating stolen property from a nearby vehicle. The deputies also located a laser printer with blank checks containing fictitious names and a lot of mail from numerous different people from Loma Linda and San Bernardino in their vehicle.

Gurule was found to have a felony warrant out of Riverside County for Identity Theft to get credit. Stakenburg and Gurule were arrested and will be charged with Conspiracy, Vehicle Burglary, Forgery and Possession of Stolen Property. Both subjects were booked at the Central Detention Center.
