INCIDENT: TORTURE, FALSE IMPRISONMENT, ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON SUSPECT(S): David Ignacio Siova, DOB 7/1/1981, of Lucerne Valley

Summary

On Sunday, January 31, 2016, at approximately 8:44am, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station received a call of a kidnapping report. The victim alleged that a male acquaintance of hers lured her over to his house, tied her up, and held her captive while torturing and assaulting her for several hours. The suspect eventually transported her home where she called authorities.

When Deputies arrived the victim pointed out the suspects footprints in the desert and showed them the direction in which he fled on foot. Deputies followed the footprints several hundred yards before losing the tracks on the hard packed dirt near a roadway. San Bernardino County Sheriffs Canine “Ellie” responded to the scene and acquired the suspects trail from his footprints. Ellie trailed the suspect approximately one mile to a residence in the 11800 block of Midway Rd where she showed interest in a motorhome parked on the property. A search revealed the suspect, David Ignacio Siova, hiding inside the motorhome where he was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was booked at HDDC and is currently being held without bail.    Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact Deputy K. Kraft at (760) 552-6800.
