INCIDENT: Recovery of Stolen Property

LOCATION: 60000 Block of Sunny Sands Dr, Joshua Tree

On February 9, 2016, Detectives from the Morongo Basin Station, with the assistance of SANCATT (San Bernardino County Auto Theft Task Force), served a search warrant at a residence in the 60000 Block of Sunny Sands Dr. in Joshua Tree. The search warrant was related to an ongoing investigation regarding multiple residential burglaries that have occurred throughout the Morongo Basin in recent weeks. No suspects were present at the location when the warrant was served. Detectives were able to recover about $40,000 worth of stolen property related to at least eleven residential burglaries that have occurred throughout the Morongo Basin. Property recovered included several vehicles, a Sea-Land CONEX Shipping Container and thousands of dollars worth of tools and personal property taken from multiple residences. Multiple victims have been identified, contacted and Detectives are in the process of returning all recovered property to the owners.
