LOCATION:1700 block Cambria Ave, Landers
MISSING PERSON: John William Zisgen, 75 years of age
Summary
UPDATE: Tuesday, July 19th, at approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies were advised that Mr. Zisgen had returned to his home and was in good condition.
On Monday, July 18, 2016, at approximately 10:11 a.m., deputies from the Morongo Station received a call for a missing person. The reporting party stated sometime between July 17, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. and July 18, 2016 at 8:00 a.m., John Zisgen left his residence in his 1997 black Ford Ranger, CA license plate 8Y24643.
Zisgen does not usually drive and does not have any friends or family in the area. He possibly has undiagnosed early-onset dementia, high blood pressure and anxiety. Zisgen left behind his I.D., ATM, cash, cellphone and medications. He is known to frequent Palm Springs with his significant other and has talked about visiting the Big Bear area.
Deputies, with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Aviation Division, conducted an area check for Zisgen, which produced no leads at this time.
