Incident:  H&S11378-Transportation of Methamphetamine

Suspect(s):  Walter Scott, 50 years old from Camarillo, California

Summary

On the evening of Sunday, December 4, 2016, Deputy Whitcomb from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department contacted motorist Walter Scott during a traffic stop for vehicle code violations on Broadway Street, near G Street. Scott indicated that he was driving from Prescott, Arizona to Needles, California. During the contact, the deputy located a plastic container in Scott’s pocket, which contained methamphetamine. An additional container was found in a hidden compartment in the bottom of a large methamphetamine pipe inside Scott’s car.

  

Nearly 11 grams of methamphetamine was recovered along with miscellaneous paraphernalia to smoke methamphetamine with. Scott was arrested and booked at the Needles jail.
