Summary
On the evening of Sunday, December 4, 2016, Deputy Whitcomb from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department contacted motorist Walter Scott during a traffic stop for vehicle code violations on Broadway Street, near G Street. Scott indicated that he was driving from Prescott, Arizona to Needles, California. During the contact, the deputy located a plastic container in Scott’s pocket, which contained methamphetamine. An additional container was found in a hidden compartment in the bottom of a large methamphetamine pipe inside Scott’s car.
Nearly 11 grams of methamphetamine was recovered along with miscellaneous paraphernalia to smoke methamphetamine with. Scott was arrested and booked at the Needles jail. His bail was set at $125,000.
