INCIDENT:PC 664/187 Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon

LOCATION:12000 block of Coriander Court, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT: Danny Pierce, age 42 of Rancho Cucamonga

VICTIM:Travis Lee, age 42 of Rancho Cucamonga


On March 13, 2016, at about 3:45 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a medical aid call in the 12000 block of Coriander Court. Once on scene deputies determined Danny Pierce and Travis Lee were involved in an argument outside Lee’s residence. Pierce was seated in the driver seat of his vehicle near Lee’s residence during this argument. Pierce quickly accelerated his vehicle towards Lee and struck him with his vehicle. Lee suffered a severe leg fracture and was transported to a local area hospital. Pierce fled the scene before deputies arrived.


During the investigation, deputies positively identified Pierce as the suspect and the location of his residence. Deputy Warren authored a warrant for Pierce’s arrest. While Warren continued to follow-up on leads to locate Pierce, Pierce contacted Warren and was interviewed.


Upon the completion of the interview, Warren arrested Pierce for attempted murder. Pierce was booked at the West Valley Detention Center, and his bail was set at $1,000,000.
