INCIDENT: PC 290- Sex Offender Compliance Check

LOCATION: Multple locations within the city of Rancho Cucamonga

Summary

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department contacted multiple sex offenders. Each offender is required to register for life under Penal Code 290 and provide their identifying information, address, place of employment, vehicles, and other information. Deputies periodically complete compliance checks in order to ensure each registrant is providing accurate information and is in compliance with Penal Code 290. During the operation Deputies contacted sex offenders, spoke to family members, neighbors, and other people in order to verify the information provided by each registrant. Deputies determined two registrants were in violation and are actively investigating those incidents.
