INCIDENT: Felony Evading/Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
LOCATION: Rialto Avenue and Lena Road, San Bernardino
SUSPECT(S): Male Juvenile (16), San Bernardino resident

Summary
On Friday, July 22, 2016, at approximately 3:34 p.m., Deputy Gile, from the Sheriff’s Central Station, initiated a traffic stop on a black Honda Civic for Vehicle Code violations. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed east on Rialto Avenue. The vehicle ran several stop signs and red lights before turning south on Tippecanoe Avenue. The vehicle attempted to turn right on Harry Sheppard Blvd and crashed into a signal light. Three subjects inside the vehicle were detained. Deputies determined that the 16 year old male juvenile engaged the deputies in a pursuit because the vehicle was stolen. The juvenile driver was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.
