INCIDENT: Grand Theft Automobile/ Possession of Stolen Property/ Parolee at Large/ Probation Violation LOCATION: 4th Street/ Whitlock Avenue, San Bernardino SUSPECT(S): Desiray Tafoya, 23-year-old resident of San Bernardino Kenny Minchoca, 26-year-old resident of San Bernardino Lorenzo Brambila, 23-year-old resident of San Bernardino

Summary

On November 27, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. Deputy Kostiuk was conducting routine patrol in San Bernardino. Kostiuk observed a vehicle fail to stop at a posted stop sign and a records check on the vehicle identified the vehicle as being stolen in Muscoy earlier in the evening. Kostiuk waited for an additional patrol unit in order to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle pulled over at 4th Street and Whitlock Avenue and all three occupants were taken into custody. The driver was identified as Desiray Tafoya. Tafoya is on Felony Formal Probation for Grand Theft Automobile. The other occupants were identified as Kenny Minchoca and Lorenzo Brabila. Minchoca had an outstanding “No Bail” warrant for his arrest and was listed as a Parolee at Large. Brabila was found to be in possesison of shaved keys which are tools associated with stealing automobiles. All three suspects were arrested for Grand Theft Automobile and Possession of Stolen Property and were booked into the Central Detention Center.
