INCIDENT:PC 245- Assault with a Deadly Weapon

VICTIM: Confidential- 57 year old male
Summary
On July 21, 2016 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Deputies responded to the area of Morongo Rd/Joshua Dr. in the City of Twentynine Palms for the report of an assault that occurred. Once on scene, it was found that the 57 year old victim had been attacked by an unknown suspect. The suspect was described as a white male adult in his 20’s, with a shaved head. The victim stated that the unknown male attacked him while he slept, striking him several times with a board.
The victim sustained two broken legs during the attack, but was unable to flag down help due to his injuries. The attack occurred around midnight, but the victim was not found until approximately 10:00 a.m. when a person walking in the area found him and notified the Sheriff’s Department.
