INCIDENT: PC 459, Commercial Burglary

LOCATION: 300 Block of S. Hwy 173, Lake Arrowhead

SUSPECT: Ruben Gurrola, 28 years old, Lake Arrowhead

VICTIM: Saddleback Inn


On April 7, 2016, at approximately 8:15 am, deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to the Saddleback Inn and Restaurant regarding a burglary investigation. The reporting party informed deputies an unknown subject entered the business at approximately 12:50 am and stole the safe. Deputies and employee’s reviewed the restaurant’s video surveillance and observed the subject break in and commit the theft. One of the employee’s recognized the subject and identified him as Ruben Gurrola.

On April 7, 2016 at approximately 3:35 pm, deputies contacted Gurrola at his residence in the 27000 block of Rim of the World Drive, Lake Arrowhead. Gurrola was taken into custody without incident and the safe was recovered unopened. The safe was returned to the restaurant and Gurrola was transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking.
