MIssing hiker – Kimly Kittridge located

LOCATION: Fisherman’s Trail near Crab Flats, Green Valley Lake, California

MISSING PARTY: Kimly Rae Kittridge, 53 years old, Lake Arrowhead

Summary

UPDATE #2: June 1, 2016   10:55 a.m.

Search and Rescue members located Kimly Kittridge approximately 1600 feet down stream from the area she was last seen. Kittridge had to be hoisted out of the location and was airlifted to a local hospital for evaluation.

On Wednesday, June 1, 2016 the search continues for Kimly Kittridge. The Command Post has been moved to the Forest Lawn Boy Scout Camp on Hook Creek Rd. in Cedar Glen(CP is about 3 miles in).

 
At this time there have been no reported sightings of Kimly. The search includes several K9’s and 24 Search & Rescue ground units. Twin Peaks deputies are utilizing Off-Highway vehicles to check all dirt roads in the area. The search continues in the area of Fisherman’s Camp and units are checking the pools in that area.The weather is favorable with daytime warm temperatures and cooler in the evening.

INCIDENT: Search and Rescue

LOCATION: Fisherman’s Trail near Crab Flats, Green Valley Lake, California

MISSING PARTY: Kimly Rae Kittridge, 53 years old, Lake ArrowheadSUMMARY: San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team members are actively searching for 53-year-old Kimly Rae Kittridge in the Fisherman’s Camp area of Green Valley Lake near Crab Flats. On Monday, May 30, 2016 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Kim Kittridge went on a hike with some friends in the area of Fisherman’s Trail. According to friends, Kittridge believed she dropped something on the trail and went back to look for it. When she did not return to the group or vehicles, friends became worried and called the sheriff’s department for assistance.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Aviation Division, the Twin Peaks Station as well as the Rim Search and Rescue Team responded to the call for assistance. Search efforts continued through the night utilizing night vision and FLIR equipment. Additional searchers from the Sheriff’s Department have joined in the efforts as well as sheriff’s search K-9’s.

Kittridge is described as a White, female adult 5’3, 110lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans and hiking shoes. She did not have supplies with her and has very little hiking experience.
