INCIDENT: Possession of a Controlled Substance while Armed, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property
LOCATION: 31800 block of State Highway 18, Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT(S): Conrado Montenegro, 37 of Apple Valley
Summary
On September 3, 2016, deputies from the Victorville Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team, conducted a probation check at a motel in the 31800 block of State Highway 18.
Deputies made contact with Conrado Montenegro at the location. While searching Montenegro deputies found marijuana in his pocket, as well as keys to a vehicle he had been driving. Deputies searched the vehicle and found a baggie containing a substance which appeared to be methamphetamine and a loaded firearm. Deputies also searched Montenegro’s room at the motel and found an additional amount of methamphetamine and other drug related paraphernalia, and an additional firearm. During the investigation it was discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from a car dealership in Ontario.
Montenegro was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center as is being held on $50,000.00 bail.
