Summary

On January 27, 2016, the Victorville Police Department responded to a call of a vehicle burglary.The victim, a San Bernardino County Probation Officer, stated an unknown suspect stole handguns, a taser, a flashlight, and other related gear.Later the same day, a found property call was received from a homeowner in the 13400 block of Abbot Street in Victorville, leading to the recovery of a taser holder, flashlight and other items, belonging to the victim.

 

Deputies, Detectives, and members of the Gang Detail from the Victorville station, working in conjunction with the San Bernardino County Probation Department launched a joint investigation.

 

On February 14, 2016, Deputy Brosowske responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of El Dorado Way and La Mesa Road, in Victorville. Upon contacting the 17 year old male, Brosowske found the suspect to be in possession of a taser, which was also determined to belong to the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention Facility.

 

Detective Maddox along with other detectives from the Victorville Station contacted several subjects during the investigation and recovered photographs of juveniles holding a taser and handguns, similar to the weapons that were stolen.

 

On Saturday, February 19, 2016, deputies assigned to the Victorville Stations Gang Detail began tracking down several leads. As a result of their efforts, a 15 year old male was located at a residence in the 13600 block of Sylvan Oaks Street, in Victorville. In the bedroom where the suspect was found, deputies recovered two firearms, one of which is believed to belong to the victim. During contact with the suspect, he stated he had sold the other stolen gun to his brother. Deputies were able to recover the gun from a third subject.
