INCIDENT: Traffic Collision; Vehicle/Pedestrian

LOCATION: Bear Valley Road and Seventh Avenue




On November 10, 2016, at approximately 6:09 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, on Bear Valley Road near Seventh Avenue.


The 32 year old male driver was headed Northbound on Bear Valley Road when the pedestrian, a 39 year old male dressed in dark clothing, attempted to cross Bear Valley Road in an area that was not designated as a cross-walk. The driver was unable to stop his Nissan Pickup truck in time and collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered head injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.


The Victorville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the collision.
