LOCATION: Residence in Yucaipa

VICTIM: Confidential male, 15 years old

SUSPECT: Lucas Michael Drake, 36, resident of Yucaipa

Summary

On January 20, 2016, the Yucaipa Police Department, in conjunction with the Chula Vista Police Department, began an investigation involving Lucas Michael Drake, a 36 year old male resident of the City of Yucaipa. Drake is a credentialed teacher for the Colton Unified School District and teaches English at Colton High School.

During the investigation, it was discovered Drake contacted a 15 year old male online and later met with the juvenile in San Diego County. Drake transported the juvenile to his own home within the City of Yucaipa, where he engaged in sex acts with him.

On February 4, 2016, the Yucaipa Police Department Detective Bureau executed a search warrant at Drake’s home. Evidence of the molestation was collected and Drake was arrested. Drake was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $100,000. He is scheduled for arraignment on February 8, 2016 in San Bernardino Superior Court.
