INCIDENT:H&S 11351 – Possession of Narcotics for Sale LOCATION:1200 block of Tourmaline Ave, Mentone SUSPECT(S): Kevin Carnes, age 27of Mentone


On Sunday, November 13, 2016, at approximately 5:40 a.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Tourmaline Ave and Mentone Blvd reference a prowler. Deputies located the suspect, Kevin Carnes, hiding under a vehicle in the backyard of a nearby residence. Carnes was partially clothed, wearing only jeans and socks, disoriented and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Carnes told deputies the last thing he remembered doing was letting his dog outside and then running from what he believed to be a police car. He expressed concern for his dog as well as the security of his home. Deputies arrived at his residence to perform a security check and found his door open and evidence of narcotics sales inside. A search warrant was served at the location and cocaine, a digital scale, packaging material and paraphernalia were recovered. Carnes was arrested and booked for H&S 11351; Possession of Narcotics for Sale.
