Summary
On Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at approximately 5:30 a.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a suspicious package being left in the bed of a pick-up truck that was parked in the driveway of a residence. Deputies found the package and contacted the Sheriff’s Arson/Bomb Detail. Detectives from the Arson/Bomb Detail utilized specialized tools and techniques and rendered the device safe. They found the device posed no danger to the public.
Several homes in the area were evacuated and the fire department was on standby during the incident.
