SUSPECT(S): Angelo Marks, 28, resident of Hemet
Angelina Stevens, 18, resident of Hemet  

VICTIM: 91 year old female Yucaipa Resident

Summary

On Wednesday, December 2, 2016 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Angelo Marks and Angelina Stevens knocked on the victim’s door and presented themselves as house cleaners, offering to clean the victim’s home for $200. After spending a short time in her home cleaning, Marks and Stevens drove the victim to her bank where she gave them her ATM card and PIN number. The victim agreed to pay $200 for the services provided however the suspects withdrew $1,000 from the account. Marks and Stevens then drove back to the victim’s home, dropping her off without finishing the cleaning services that were agreed upon. They retained the victim’s ATM card and within a few hours had charged at three additional locations.

During the investigation a flyer was created with photos of the suspects. Hemet Police Department identified suspect Marks from the flyer and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 3rd, Hemet Police Officers located Marks driving in the area, along with Stevens who was the passenger in the vehicle. Yucaipa Detectives responded and took custody of both suspects who were transported and booked at West Valley Detention Center.
