INCIDENT: Strong Armed Robbery

LOCATION: 57266 Twentynine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley

SUSPECT(S): Eriberto Zapien, age 32 of Landers

VICTIM(S): Chevron


On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at approximately 10:13 a.m., the suspect, Eriberto Zapien, went into Chevron, located at 57266 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. While in the business, Zapien stole multiple food items. When an employee attempted to call 911, Zapien grabbed the employee’s arm, in order to prevent the call. Zapien fled the location, on foot. Deputies located and arrested Zapien after a brief foot pursuit. Zapien was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for strong armed robbery.
