INCIDENT: PC 136.1 – Witness Intimidation

PC 261.5 – Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor

PC 4574 – Possess Weapon on Jail grounds

PC 4573 – Possess Marijuana on Jail grounds

LOCATION: City of Yucaipa

SUSPECTS:Tyler Eagle, age 19 of Yucaipa

Christianna Broad, age 20 of Yucaipa

Female Juvenile, age 16 of Yucaipa


On March 17, 2017, Yucaipa Police Detectives arrested Tyler Eagle for PC 261 Rape and PC 459 Residential Burglary. Eagle was formally charged by the District Attorney’s Office with these charges and is awaiting trial.

On March 19, 2017, Christianna Broad and a 16-year-old female juvenile visited Eagle at the Central Detention Center. During the visit, Eagle asked Broad and the juvenile to contact the victims of the burglary and rape and attempt to get them to drop the charges.

Detectives began an investigation and learned that Broad and the juvenile went to the victim’s residences and attempted to persuade them to drop the charges against Eagle. Detectives located Broad and the juvenile on Wednesday, March 22nd when they attempted to visit Eagle at the jail. During a search of their vehicle, detectives located marijuana and a knife in the car, which was located on jail property.

Christianna Broad was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for witness intimidation, possessing a weapon on jail grounds and possessing marijuana on jail grounds. Broad is being held on $100,000 bail.The juvenile was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for witness intimidation, possessing a weapon on jail grounds and possessing marijuana on jail grounds.The juvenile remains in custody without bail.

During their investigation, detectives determined that Tyler Eagle has been having an inappropriate sexual relationship with the female juvenile. Eagle was booked for witness intimidation and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.Eagle remains in custody and is being held on $425,000 bail.

Detectives would like to remind the citizens, that it is a crime to intimidate witnesses/victims and ask them to drop charges in criminal cases.
